childbirth education class series
with buffalo birth & baby
Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, Birthing Center birth, or home birth, KNOW YOUR OPTIONS. Our classes are intended to reframe birth into an experience that is positive and empowering. We provide you and your partner with a complete understanding of how to live in your pregnancy, what you can be doing to optimize your pregnancy, explain how your baby navigates through your pelvis in labor, what that looks like from the outside, when to go to your place of birth, how your birth partner can be supporting you, what interventions are available to you, basics of breastfeeding and newborn care. The only right answers are the ones that feel right for you.
Our live, virtual classes are included as part of Cary House/Buffalo Birth & Baby doula service. For all others interested in taking classes, the fee is $100 per class or $350 for as many classes as you like (we currently have six in rotation). All classes stand alone, but if you are taking the Series, we suggest you start with “Living in Your Pregnancy” and move through the rest. You are also welcome to start where we are, and circle back to the first classes in the next rotation.
Classes are held on Tuesday night and registration is for you AND your partner:
“October Series”: October 7th - November 25th, 2024 - In-Person is FULL, but we welcome you to our Zoom class!

Prepare for your due date by making informed, evidence-based decisions before hand, and ensure you don’t head to the hospital too soon.
For those planning an out-of-hospital birth, we still encourage you to take this class is to help you know what options and interventions are available if you need them. We will plan to get on the call at 6pm to discuss WHY you might want to transfer into a hospital and what to consider when making that decision.
