We do not offer refunds for massage due to the unpredictable nature of working with pregnant clientele. We happily issue gift certificates to be used at any time. Gift certificate massages cannot be rescheduled. There is a 12 hour cancellation policy; if you must cancel please do so within 12 hours of an appointment.
We are flexible around labor of course and LOVE accommodating laboring bodies. Yes! You can come in for a treatment DURING labor if it has been a long, winding road or has seemly plateaued- hands on can help labor turn the corner and the body and mind find relaxation and reprieve

While we work on ALL bodies, we specialize in the emerging aches, pains, swelling and discomfort brought on by the changing anatomy of a pregnant body. All discomfort in the body is an invitations to act! We have a custom prenatal table with a sling supported belly recess to allow for release and softening of tissues particularly around the hips and lower back.
Our pre and post natal treatments have been mindfully crafted by Rebecca with her extensive background in the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, training in Mayan Abdominal Therapy, Trauma Informed Somatic Release and movement/yoga training, Essential Oil Therapies, Reiki and Pranayama. She is the first massage therapist to bring Induction work to the Buffalo area (over a decade ago) and carry a custom table specifically built to support the pregnant body.
Prior to co-founding Cary House she worked in a medical rehabilitation center treating compromised mobility before moving to the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman, the secret gem of Great Jones Spa in SOHO and the renowned Perinatal Massage Center in NYC. Her approach is functionality meets luxury peppered with traditional practices, myofascial release, passive stretching and energy work. All Cary House Massage Therapists are supplementally trained directly by her.
Prenatal Massage ~ IF YOU ARE PREGNANT PLEASE BOOK A PRENATAL TREATMENT (NOT A 60/90 MINUTE As WE PREPARE DIFFERENTLY)
75 minute treatment on our custom table allows expecting bodies to lie belly down, relieving pressure in the lumbar spine and musculature of the back body. Using essential oils, reiki, muscle energy and lymphatic drainage techniques, this treatment works to release the deep connective tissue of the hip joints, gently move excess fluid and promote deep relaxation.
Induction Massage~ CAN START 38 WKS ONWARD
This 60 minute treatment stimulates specific pressure points that encourage uterine contraction and dispersion of stagnant energy using Clary Sage oil {to relieve discomfort and promote labor} which can help ease childbirth, release oxytocin and keep stress hormones at bay. The traditional Chinese modality of Moxibustion, a focused heat therapy which involves the burning of the herb Mugwort over specific acupuncture points, is also used to stimulate these potent reproductive points to encourage the onset of labor.
Postpartum Massage~ FOR THE FOURTH TRIMESTER
75 minute treatment for the healing postpartum body. Using warm castor oil on the belly, essential oils, reflexology and reiki, this treatment is specifically and meaningfully crafted to promote a deep sense of nurturing. Abdominal work flushes the area, promotes healing and can offer mobilization around C Section scar tissue. We know the demands of new parenthood and infants are welcomed into the room. We have plenty of spaces to feed babies before treatments and encourage coming early to settle in. It is recommended waiting six weeks post Caesarean section with doctors clearance and a minimum of two weeks post vaginal birth.
Fertility Massage
Using Mayan abdominal techniques, energy work, castor oil, heat and deep pelvic work, this treatment is designed to reduce stress hormones, balance reproductive hormones, tonify reproductive organs and promote a state of emotional balance. Our fertility treatment works to cleanse the digestive tract for better nutritional assimilation, increase circulation in the pelvis and break up any adhesions or congestion.
miscarriage ~ Specialized Abdominal Massage
This modality flushes the area of stagnant fluids, brings fresh blood and nutrients to the organs to facilitate healing and can help bring you back to your body in a way that offers some sense of comfort and safety. Reiki/energy work with heat and essential oils for a whole body/mind/heart nurturing support through delicate experiences.
